DAF Systems
High-efficiency Solids Oil and Grease Removal for Industrial and Municipal Wastewater

Precision Flotation for Cleaner Water, Lower Load and Regulatory Confidence

Industries generating wastewater with high concentrations of suspended solids, fats, oils and greases (FOG) face significant compliance and performance challenges. Whether it’s food processing, oil refining, chemical manufacturing or municipal sewage systems, these contaminants must be removed before biological or tertiary treatment steps.

WOG Technologies Limited offers advanced Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) systems engineered for consistent performance under variable influent conditions. Our DAF units reduce chemical demand, sludge volume and downstream overload, ensuring smoother operations and lower total cost of treatment.

What is a DAF System?

DAF is a clarification technology that separates suspended solids, oil and grease by injecting microbubbles into wastewater under pressure. These bubbles attach to particles and float them to the surface, where a skimming mechanism removes the sludge. Clarified water exits from the bottom of the tank. This method is highly effective for pre-treatment, post-biological polishing and applications requiring high removal efficiency of insoluble substances.

FAQs

DAF systems are ideal for wastewater rich in FOG (fats, oils, greases) and suspended solids. Industries such as dairy, meat processing, oil refining and textiles often use DAF as a primary treatment step to protect downstream processes and comply with discharge standards.

Yes. Our DAF systems are often deployed alongside CPI separators, aerobic or anaerobic biological systems and advanced filtration units to create a complete, customized treatment train.

DAF reduces the chemical load on downstream units, minimizes sludge hauling costs due to better concentration and lowers energy needs compared to sedimentation-based systems. Over time, this contributes to a reduced total cost of ownership.

Our systems feature automated controls and flow equalization options that maintain consistent performance even under variable influent flow and contaminant levels. SCADA integration enables real-time monitoring and control.

Yes. WOG offers containerized and skid-mounted DAF units on a lease or BOOT basis, especially suited for clients with CAPEX constraints or short-term compliance requirements.
