As industries scale, their effluent streams are becoming more concentrated and complex. Globally, industrial wastewater accounts for nearly 22% of total water discharge, much of it untreated or partially treated (UNESCO, 2021). With tightening discharge regulations and rising water costs, sectors such as chemicals, textiles and food processing face growing pressure to treat, recycle and recover resources efficiently. Legacy systems often fall short, leading to compliance failures, downtime and escalating operational costs. What’s needed is a shift toward advanced, circular wastewater solutions.
Our Strategic Approach
Whether setting up a greenfield industrial wastewater treatment plant or revamping an underperforming ETP, we offer custom, efficient and lifecycle-optimized solutions.
A multinational pharmaceutical company in Northern India was under regulatory pressure due to consistent environmental violations from high COD levels exceeding 4,000 mg/L in its effluent streams.
The client needed a robust, compliant and sustainable wastewater treatment solution that could drastically reduce organic load, enable water reuse and achieve zero liquid discharge within strict timelines.
WOG Technologies Limited implemented a hybrid biological treatment system (anaerobic + aerobic), integrated with two-stage reverse osmosis and evaporation units. The solution was engineered for high recovery and optimized for pharmaceutical effluent profiles.
With WOG’s high-efficiency industrial wastewater solutions, industries can turn compliance into cost savings and water discharge into water reuse.

Yes. WOG specializes in condition assessment of industrial wastewater treatment plants. We conduct systematic DQ, OQ and PQ to produce action charts that categorize modifications as “Must Have” and “Nice to Have”. We retrofit high-efficiency biological systems, introduce advanced membranes and add tertiary polishing units, extending plant life and bringing output within regulatory limits. We also develop implementation schedules and a sequence of modifications as the retrofit often needs to be performed with minimal disturbance to existing operations.
Well, it depends. If such fluctuations are known, we incorporate them into our design. As an additional safety margin, we divert off-specification feed to a “Parking Tank” for management over the next short period to avoid system shock. Finally, technology selection ensures that performance remains stable even during shock load/peak load variations and/or batch production spikes.
WOG’s ZLD pathway integrates high-recovery RO, brine concentrators, multi-effect evaporators and crystallizers. We custom-engineer each stage to maximize water recovery and minimize energy consumption, especially for high-TDS industrial wastewater treatment.
We use energy-efficient blowers, chemical optimization algorithms and sludge volume reduction strategies. Combined with automation and predictive maintenance, these features reduce both OPEX and downtime over the system lifecycle.
Absolutely. As a leading industrial wastewater services provider, WOG offers turnkey assistance—including feasibility reports, DPRs, HAZOP assessments and CPCB / SPCB documentation support—to help clients fast-track clearances. If need be, we also partner and collaborate with local liaison companies to ensure complete ownership of clearances.
